The Golden Apple Ghana Booking and Terms and Conditions

The Golden Apple Ghana Guest House and Restaurant is a privately run, superior Guest House offering bed and restaurant facilities. As we are not a hotel we reserve the right to accept and refuse guests according to our Booking Conditions stated below. By making this booking you are entering into an agreement with us so please read our terms and conditions below. Thank you for choosing to stay at The Golden Apple Guest House. Prices: The price of the accommodation is displayed in the hall and on our website

Breakfast: Breakfast is always included in the price of the rooms. Half and Full Board options are available at an extra cost.

Pets:  Sorry we do not allow pets, except for registered assistance dogs

No Smoking Policy: The premises are a smoking free area except for the outside room balconies and the veranda. Any guests smoking inside the premises including hanging out of the windows will be asked to leave without a refund and/or pay an additional cleaning charge.

Payment methods: We are unable to accept credit or debit cards at present. Deposits must be paid for by cheque, cash or via paypal and the full balance is payable on arrival in cash. Cheques are not accepted on arrival as the cheque guarantee scheme has now ceased.

Booking Procedure: You may reserve a room with a 10% deposit either via our online booking form, in person at reception or by phone or email. We ask you to provide us with your full postal address and contact telephone number. You will be asked to sign our registration book on arrival. Your booking is only a binding contract once a deposit is received and cheques have been cleared. if you contact us by email we reserve your privacy and we will not share your email address or any other personal details.

Cancellation and Insurance: We would only cancel your reservation if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. Then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Arrival: Your accommodation will be available to you from 12 noon on the day of your arrival, unless otherwise arranged. We may not be able to accommodate you if you arrive earlier than the agreed time as we will be busy preparing your room. Please let us know your approximate arrival time so we can make sure we are here to meet you. Rooms must be vacated by 10 am on your departure day unless otherwise agreed with us.

Access to Rooms: we clean and service all rooms between 10 am and 1 pm. We hold master keys to all bedrooms and will enter to service rooms or to carry out essential maintenance.

Keys: if you lose our keys there is a £60 charge for replacement of locks and keys.

Bedrooms: Our rooms accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child under the age of 5. Only registered guests are permitted to use the rooms.

Parking: Parking is available for one vehicle for each room reserved

Laundry Service:  We offer a laundry service at a cost of $7.50 per load

Damages and Breakages: Please take care when staying in our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages and damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. All we ask is that you report any incidents as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant and we may make an additional charge of $30 if you did not report this.

Liability:  We do not accept  any liability for any damage. loss or injury to any member of your party or any possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or any employees or contractors while acting in the course of employment

Privacy Policy/Data protection:  Any data collected during the course of booking or registering may be stored on our computers. This is for use and will not be shared with third parties. The only exception will be requests from Police officers or Government officials when legally required.

Unacceptable Behaviour:  Anyone under the influence, or who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused entry or asked to leave. Threatening, abusive or anti social behaviour including smoking anywhere inside the property will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave immediately. Any guest who misuses our property or gives us cause for concerns for our safety or that of our guests will also be asked to leave immediately. Guests will be liable for the full costof the booking if we are unable to let the room.
